The years 2010, and 2011 would see Mike prolifically release three albums that blended experimental ambient electronic elements with melodic hook driven Indie rock. These recordings began in South Florida and have become known as Mike's "Miami trilogy". As 2013 approached, with the experimental trilogy of albums behind him, the time seemed right for a return to a more straight ahead organic sounding rock album. For Mike's 8th proper studio album, “La douleur exquise”, gone away are the synthesizers and electronic beats. Instead, listeners can expect to find a much more traditional rock band setting and approach with, (for the first time), some added string arrangements.

Mike Thomas is a multi instrumentalist Indie,Alternative,DIY Singer Songwriter and producer. Originally from Massachusetts he now resides in South Florida. Early on he fronted the groups Space fall and Prescription America. To date he has released eight solo albums and one e.p. of original material,mostly playing all the Instruments himself as well as self recording and producing each release.
